To err is human, to forgive, divine. Needless to say, there are some things in life where a little bit of common sense would go a long way, and hence, do away with plenty of heartache and also possible legal actions. This time around, mobile carrier Sprint has come under the spotlight for making a less than savory remark about their competition, T-Mobile.
In said ad, Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure was shown to be sitting with “Actual Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T customers,” where he wanted them to share their heart out about the very first thing that they can think of concerning the mobile carriers that they are attached to.
Where the lady to Claure’s right was asked what she thought of when she hears of the word “T-Mobile”, she then answered “Ghetto.” In addition, she also mentioned that there were three other carriers that she hears about, and it is no surprise that the monikers Verizon, AT&T and Sprint came up in the conversation. As to why folks decided to subscribe to T-Mobile, she mentioned that she does not know why.
Sprint has since pulled the ad for obvious reasons, and it would be interesting to see what they would do in order to gain back brownie points.
