If you bought either the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport or the Galaxy Note Edge from Sprint back in 2014, we guess we can’t blame you if you’re a little worried that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update might not make it to you guys, or that by the time it comes you might have gotten yourself a new phone (if you haven’t done so already).
The good news is that you don’t have to wait anymore because according to recent announcements made by Sprint, it seems that they have begun rolling out the OTA update for both the Galaxy Note Edge and the Galaxy S5 Sport. If you do not see the update available right now, fret not because we’re sure it will make its way to you eventually.
The update will bump both phones up to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will also come with the most recent Google and Samsung security updates, along with any bug fixes that might have been plaguing the handsets prior to the update. It’s good to see what despite both phones being two years old that neither Sprint nor Samsung has forgotten about them.
Granted users had to wait quite a while and also had to wait while other newer devices got updated ahead of them, but we suppose better late than never.
