Sling TV Launches New $20 Package With Fox Content

Sling TV is one of the few online TV streaming services that enable users to pay a monthly subscription fee in order to stream live TV over-the-air. The service, owned by Dish, today announced a new $20 package that brings Fox content. This is separate from the company’s existing $20 per month package and there’s a reason for that because the new one is actually a multi-stream package.

Sling TV’s new $20 multi-stream package is now available in beta. It allows subscribers to stream live content on up to three devices simultaneously and it features content from Fox’s broadcast network in select markets, FOX Sports, FX, National Geographic as well as channels from Turner, A&E, AMC, Univision and more.

The original package includes content from Disney, including ESPN, and sports fans will not be happy to hear that the network isn’t available in the new $20 package. That’s because the network hasn’t agreed to be a part of Sling’s new multi-stream package yet and subscribers on the original package are currently limited to just one stream at a time.

It goes without saying that ESPN was one of the main selling points of Sling TV when it was first launched over a year ago, probably a big reason why some cord cutters chose to subscribe to this service, and now they’ll have to choose between having content from Fox and the ability to view multiple streams or having ESPN with just one stream at a time.
