Skyrim Mod Community Keeps Game Going

Skyrim Mods: HOLDS - the City Overhaul
Some games do happen to have more fans than the others, and this does not come across as a surprise at all. After all, such titles do happen to boast of an insane number of followers, so much so that their fan interest has continued to keep a game going despite official support for it being ended some time ago. This particular Skyrim mod community simply refuses for the game to die, and hence, their overhaul of every single town in Skyrim took a particular developer close to a whopping four years to do so.

With Skyrim having been released in 2011, which seems to be a lifetime in the digital age, it seems that a modder has decided to introduce an expansion known as Holds: The City Overhaul, which will see the renovation of all villages and towns in the game. This is definitely a task not to be sneezed at, as the modder took an average two hours a day over the course of three years in order to complete it.

It is also extremely large in size – we are talking about 4GB of storage space required here for installation, and not a single megabyte of it would add to the game’s storyline. In other words, it is more or less just stuff, ranging from new architecture to the season’s latest outfits as well as named characters in order to enrich the walking-through-town experience.
