If you love being able to stream content from your phone to your TV, chances are the Google Chromecast is an affordable accessory you’ll want to pick up. While chances are most people use their Chromecasts with their modern televisions, YouTuber Dr. Moddnstine decided to take things to the next level.
What he did was he managed to transplant the Chromecast inside a retro television set, which you can check out above. Now this is more than just connecting the Chromecast to the TV, like we said he took things to the next level and actually embedded the Chromecast within the TV itself, meaning that from the outside it looks like a retro TV set, but comes with certain modern functionalities.
To top it off, the modder hooked up the television to a pair of old school speakers, thus helping to give it that very retro look. Now if you’re interested in putting this together yourself, Dr. Moddnstine has put together a rather lengthy video in which he goes through the process. There are no printable instructions per se, so you’ll have to glean whatever information you can from the video itself, which you can do so below.
