Many were surprised when the first mobile game that Nintendo would launch is a completely brand new franchise called Miitomo. It did not feature any familiar or popular characters from other Nintendo titles, but yet at the same time the game has managed to go on to do pretty well for itself, racking up more than a million downloads in its first week.
Now if you were one of those who initially complained about the lack of popular characters, fret not because they are on their way to Miitomo. Nintendo has recently announced that if they get more than 10,000 retweets for their Splatoon tweet, they will be offering up Splatoon gear in the game as gifts.
As you can see from the tweet itself, it has managed to garner more than 20,000 retweets which means that Miitomo gamers can look forward to dressing up their Miitomo characters in Splatoon gear in the near future. The retweeting campaign is expected to last until the 26th of April. Nintendo has made provisions for 20,000 retweets, but we have to wonder at the rate it is going, does Nintendo have reward plans for 30,000 or more retweets?
In any case if you are a Miitomo gamer, you can look forward to your items arriving in your inbox come 27th of April and they will be eligible to be claimed right up until the 29th of May, 2016, so you might want to hurry up and get in on this!
