The event will be taking place on the 17th of May and it will be held in New Delhi, India. While it is unclear as to what the event will be about, some have speculated that it could be about the Moto G4 handsets that we have been hearing about lately. Also presumably because the event will be held in India, chances are the handsets will most likely be kept to that part of the world.
To be fair, none of the rumors have said anything about the Moto G4 or G4 Plus making its way stateside, so the possibility of it being an India-exclusive can’t be ruled out entirely. That being said, while the naming scheme does sound different, we are probably looking at the fourth-gen handset in the Moto G series.
The third-gen Moto G was launched in India last year so a follow-up is not completely out of the question. Unfortunately it is unclear as to what other devices could be announced during the event, like the 2016 Moto X, but either way check back with us in the next few weeks for the details.
