So far every year Motorola has released a Moto X handset, and unless the company announces otherwise, we can only assume that this year we will be looking at another Moto X device. In fact according to recent benchmark sightings, it seems that we could be getting a glimpse at some of the specs the handset will pack.
Starting with the chipset, we guess this is really a no-brainer as pretty much most of the flagships in 2016 have turned to the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset, and it looks like the Moto X (2016) is no exception. In addition to the Snapdragon 820, this year’s Moto X also appears to be packing 4GB of RAM under the hood.
Once again, this is pretty much standard when it comes to high-end devices and if Motorola is hoping to compete against the bigger players, 4GB of RAM does seem like a safe bet. Apart from that, we can’t be sure what other specs the phone will be packing. We have heard rumors of a 5-inch display but whether or not it will be Full HD or QHD remains a mystery.
We can’t be too sure about the phone’s cameras either but hopefully Motorola will have something better to show this year. While the Moto X cameras aren’t exactly bad, they could definitely use some improvement. No word on when the Moto X (2016) will be launched, but Motorola is hosting an event on the 17th of May in India, so maybe we might learn more then.
