This is the first phone app from Nintendo, going to show just how versatile the Japanese game company can be when it comes to charting a course through dangerous, economically troubling times. According to SurveyMonkey, out of the 4 million people who have installed the Miitomo app, they are also the ones who use it at least once a month, with 25% of them using it every single day.
In other words, that can be extrapolated to mean that approximately $280,000 in in-app purchases are made each week, which is pretty decent income for the company as well, although it surely pales in comparison to the kind of money that Nintendo’s console games make, but it is still encouraging for a brand new and rather niche social network. Do bear in mind that these are not official figures from Nintendo.
