Depending on how old you are, there is a chance that you might have grown up watching Capcom’s Mega Man anime series. If you haven’t we suppose you might be too young for it. Now the franchise is admittedly rather old and there are hotter IPs out there, but it is a classic that Capcom appears to be interested in reviving.
In case you haven’t heard, there is a new Mega Man cartoon series that is being developed and according to the latest updates on the series, it seems that the cartoon is still on track for a release in 2017. Details of the show remain scarce at this point, but the series has a new logo attached to it as you can see in the image above.
No specific dates in 2017 were mentioned, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see. The cartoon series is being developed by Man of Action Entertainment and Dentsu Entertainment will be the one to handle the series’ licensing and broadcast rights for the whole world. The new cartoon series was announced last June but until today, not much has been said about it.
It’s good to know that it is still in development as opposed to having been placed on the backburner. We have to wonder if the new series will help renew interest in the franchise (last we heard there were plans for a movie) – what say you?
