A couple of weeks ago, both AT&T and Verizon started taking pre-orders for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE. If you had missed out on the pre-order window, fret not because according to a post on the Android Forums, it seems that the watch is currently available for purchase via either carrier.
For those who are wondering why this is making the headlines again, it is because last year LG actually halted the rollout of the watch. According to the company, they claimed that this was due to quality issues which is why they decided to halt the rollout and fix it before making it available again, so for the most part this is still the same device as it was when it was introduced last year.
Oddly enough the pricing of the watch on either carrier is very different. AT&T is charging $360 for the watch off contract plus a $45 activation fee. Alternatively you could pay $200 with a 2-year contract. Verizon on the other hand is charging $500 for the watch off contract, a $40 activation fee and $5 a month service fee. It is available on contract for $450.
The only difference is that Verizon’s monthly service fee of $5 a month is cheaper than AT&T’s $10 a month. In any case for those who are interested in AT&T’s version can click here, and those interested in Verizon’s version can click here to make their purchase.
