The LG G Pad X series aren’t exactly high-end tablets, but if you’re after a tablet but don’t want to have to spend too much money, you might be interested to learn that the 8-inch version of the tablet could be headed for T-Mobile come mid-May. The tablet has already been launched on carriers such as AT&T and Verizon, so for it to make its way to T-Mobile isn’t really that much of a surprise.
This is according to a report from VentureBeat who claims to have seen material to indicate the tablet’s arrival, but since it isn’t exactly official information, do take it with a grain of salt for now. For those wondering about the specs, the LG G Pad X 8.0 is basically the 8-inch version of the tablet and appears to share similar specs as its 10-inch and 8.3-inch siblings.
For starters it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and will sport a 1920×1200 display. The tablet will also pack a 4,800mAh battery which makes it slightly bigger than its 8.3-inch sibling, and will come with a pair of 5MP cameras on the front and on the back, slightly different from the other models.
No word on pricing just yet, but VentureBeat expects that T-Mobile will price it around the $300 mark, making it a relatively affordable device. EIther way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for the official information, so check back with us at a later date for more updates.
