Details of Nintendo’s upcoming NX console is scarce meaning that for all we know, Nintendo could possibly be working on creating the most powerful console ever. However all that power is pointless if there are little to no games available for it, kind of like having a $10,000 gaming PC but all you’re going to do on it is surf the web.
The good news is that publisher/developer Koei Tecmo has confirmed in their latest quarterly earnings that they are working on developing games for the Nintendo NX. Unfortunately it is unclear as to what kind of games we can expect, whether or not they’ll be brand new titles and franchises, or if we are simply looking at ports of existing games.
For those unfamiliar with Koei Tecmo, they are the company behind popular titles and franchises like Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Fatal Frame, Dynasty Warriors, and Hyrule Warriors, so safe to say that there might be a couple of titles part of their catalogue that you might be interested in seeing brought to the Nintendo NX.
Koei Tecmo won’t be alone in developing for the console as previously Square Enix had teased that maybe the Final Fantasy VII remake could arrive on the NX as well. Like we said, there isn’t much that we know about the Nintendo NX for now, but we could learn more about it by the end of the year. In the meantime the console has been pegged for a worldwide release come March 2017.
