At the end of last week, there were some rumbles on the newswires concerning Kanye West and his brand of music, especially revolving around the exclusivity of his albums on the streaming service Tidal, never mind the fact that a couple of his singles from that album have already made their way to other music streaming services like Spotify, Rhapsody, Soundcloud and Apple Music. Well, it looks like the whole album, the Life of Pablo, is now available on Spotify and Apple Music, as rumored earlier on. Famous last words, don’t you think so?
Apart from Spotify and Apple Music, Google Play Music too, would be able to let you enjoy this much-anticipated record, which means the Tidal exclusivity claim is no longer tenable. Of course, Kanye himself has tweaked and refined a fair number of headline tracks along the way which is commendable for an artist of Kanye’s stature to do so publicly.
Before picking up a copy of the Life of Pablo, one will first need to go through Kanye’s website, although there is no indication as to the album being sold via iTunes, Google Play Music and other digital stores. Will there ever be a physical release for this album? No one can tell, really, so be happy with what we have at the moment.
