A few hours ago HTC finally unveiled its new handset that’s going to go against the likes of the Galaxy S7 and LG G5 in the high-end market segment. It was rumored at one point that perhaps the company will release two variants of its next flagship which will be powered by different processors. This handset has been previously spotted and today the company confirmed HTC 10 Lifestyle for India.
HTC 10 Lifestyle has its own page on the HTC India website, it’s pretty much the same handset except for a few changes, most notably the processor which is a bit of a downgrade.
As opposed to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which powers the HTC 10, the HTC 10 Lifestyle is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 652 instead. It also doesn’t have 4GB of RAM like the high-end handset, it has to make do with just 3GB of RAM.
It’s not the end of the world though as the HTC 10 Lifestyle has the same camera, premium audio, QHD Display and 3,000mAh battery as the HTC 10. The processor and RAM are the two major changes in this particular variant.
So far, HTC has only confirmed this variant for India so it’s unclear if and when this handset will make its way to other markets across the globe. Pricing and availability information is yet to be confirmed.
