It’s no secret that the VR version of Hitman GO is in the pipeline, it has all of the same levels as they were in the original game but with the added element of virtual reality. It’s going to arrive next month and when it does, Hitman GO VR is going to be exclusive to Oculus and Gear VR, so if you’re on another VR platform you’re out of luck.
Hitman Go is a turn-based puzzle-strategy game which was first released on iOS back in 2014, it was later released on Android as well. Players have to unlock 68 levels within the game and complete various side objects. A Definitive Edition of Hitman Go was released earlier this year with a new control scheme and all previous updates included.
While mobile users will be allowed to play the game using the Gear VR headset, Hitman GO VR will not be coming to other VR platforms like the HTC Vive or PlayStation VR.
There’s a reason why the Gear VR makes the cut and others don’t. Samsung has made this headset in collaboration with Oculus so it’s no surprise that it’s getting preference in content that’s otherwise only being released for the Oculus Rift headset.
Hitman GO VR is going to be released on May 11th, it will cost $10 on the Oculus Rift and $8 on the Gear VR.
