Along with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, M. Bison, Blanka, and Dhalsim, Guile is probably part of the lineup of characters that are iconic to the game, which is why we thought it was a bit odd that Capcom did not include Guile’s character in Street Fighter V when they launched. The good news is that Guile was recently announced for the game, and now we have a release date to look forward to.
According to a recent post by the official Street Fighter Twitter account, the company has announced that Guile will be available for players to download come 28th of April at 7pm PST in North America. Just in case you did not know, Guile will be a free character for now as Capcom is preparing its Zenny shop.
This means that if you don’t take advantage of this freebie, there’s a chance you might have to end up paying for him later. In addition, gamers will also be able to purchase Guile’s home stage which is the iconic Air Force base for 70,000 Fight Money that players will be able to earn and save up for.
So far Guile’s moves in Street Fighter V appear to be pretty standard and reminiscent of his character from back in the day, so there shouldn’t be any surprises, but in case you missed out on the trailer, you can check it out in the video below.
