Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Rumored To Pack Snapdragon 823

With the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Samsung decided to equip their new flagships with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipsets. With the Snapdragon 820 being the top of the line chipset from Qualcomm right now, it is presumed that the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 will pack similar-ish hardware.

However according to the latest rumors, it seems that the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 will instead feature a slightly upgraded version of the Snapdragon 820 in the form of the Snapdragon 823. The latest chipset from Qualcomm will feature an Adreno 520 GPU and will also support up to 8GB of RAM, but whether or not Samsung will pack that much RAM into the phone remains to be seen, but we’re a little skeptical.

Given that the Galaxy Note 6 will be launched later in the year, we suppose it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that the phone wouldn’t receive some upgrade hardware. So far what we know about the Galaxy Note 6 is that it will sport a 5.8-inch display and will pack as much as 6GB of RAM.

It is also rumored to come with a 12MP rear-facing camera and will also be IP68 certified, meaning that dropping your phone into the pool will no longer result in that heart wrenching feeling. Take it all with a grain of salt for now but there is still quite some time to go before the official unveiling, so hopefully we’ll get more details before then.
