It hasn’t been long since Dark Souls 3 was released across the globe. The game got an early release in Japan while fans of the franchise in other markets were made to wait for a couple of weeks before they could start playing the latest addition to this very popular franchise. Some players may not be happy about the fact that the first Dark Souls 3 add-on is not going to be released anytime soon.
Publisher Bandai Namco has confirmed to VideoGamer that it’s not going to release the first Dark Souls 3 add-on until the fall of 2016. It didn’t confirm anything about the first add-on so it’s unclear what it’s going to be called and what sort of content it’s going to bring for the title.
What we do know for sure is that this is only going to be the first half of add-ons for Dark Souls 3. It was revealed earlier in February that Dark Souls 3 is going to get two add-ons, so if the first isn’t due to arrive until the fall and it’s possible that the second might be withheld until early next year.
Players who have already shelled out $25 for the Dark Souls 3 season pass won’t be particularly happy about this timing because they’ve already paid for the right to get all additional content but now they’ll have to wait for months before they get it.
