Back in the day there was a certain charm about purchasing physical copies of games. Boxes were usually pretty well-designed, not to mention sometimes we might find an artbook or two included in the box, along with a manual which let’s be honest, most of us never bothered to read but was always worth collecting all the same.
That being said if you are still a fan of collecting physical copies of video games, you might be interested to learn that it seems like Square Enix will be releasing physical copies of several of its Final Fantasy titles. This includes Final Fantasy 3, 4, 7 and 8, although interestingly enough they will be bundled separately in two separate bundles.
Final Fantasy 3 and 4 will be bundled together, while Final Fantasy 7 and 8 will be bundled together. This is according to a listing spotted on Amazon UK where it is priced at £19.99 and will be released come 27th of May. They will also be in DVD format meaning that if your computer does not have DVD drive, you might be out of luck.
Oddly enough the DVDs don’t actually contain the entire copy of the game. Instead it will contain a partial install with the rest of the game needed to be downloaded, presumably as an anti-piracy measure. In any case if you are looking for a cheap bundle for Final Fantasy titles, then perhaps these two bundles might be worth checking out.
