So some of you guys might be wondering, why not just create a PC port of the game and be done with it? Sure, that’s what some developers might choose to do for the sake of efficiency, but in a translated report by DualShockers based on an interview Final Fantasy XV’s director Hajime Tabata had with JeuxVideo, it seems that if and when they do make a PC version, it will be more than just a simple port.
According to Tabata, “I’m quite positive about the idea of developing a PC version. This version could incorporate things that we were forced to abandon because of the limitations of home consoles. With the PC, this would be an opportunity to release a version far superior in terms of quality and tech. That said, if we choose to develop this project, the development will start from scratch by doing research of what would be the best technology to use. It might not be a simple port of the console version.”
However like we said, there are no plans to create a PC version of the game for now, but the fact that Square Enix is open to the idea is still a pretty positive sign for fans all the same. In the meantime Final Fantasy XV is pegged for a released on the PS4 and Xbox One come 30th September.
