The folks at Bethesda did not know that Fallout Shelter would become the runaway success that it did when the first launched it. We suppose the upside to the game being successful is that Bethesda now has more reasons to keep it updated with new content and features every so often, and the good news is that a new update has been released.
In the latest update, Bethesda has included support for 3D Touch. What does this mean? Just like other 3D Touch shortcuts, users will be able to launch the game directly into different Vaults from their iOS home screen itself. This is versus the older method where they had to select their Vaults after launching the game.
This shortcut should save gamers some time, but since this is a 3D Touch feature, only iPhone 6s/6s Plus owners will be able to take advantage of it. 3D Touch will also work within the game and will let players assign dwellers and access storage simply by tapping the room that they want, so check it out if you haven’t done so already.
In addition to 3D Touch support, the update will include more customization options for the Barbershop, and will also let gamers craft new outfits, or find new outfits in Lunchboxes. Gamers will also be able to turn items into scrap which in turn can be used to craft new gear. The latest update is available for iOS and Android, but obviously 3D Touch will be exclusive to the iPhone.
