When it comes to drones, we do happen to know that these can be quite an expensive purchase for many of us who are living from month to month – and hence, it would be best to make sure that one does not simply fly drones through office windows – staged or otherwise. Well, here is an affordable DIY camera drone kit that is going for $99 a pop, allowing you to come up with your very own drone without breaking the bank.
Better known as the FlexBot DIY Camera-Drone Kit in full, this is a drone that comprises of relevant 3D-printed pieces required in order to assemble a fully-operational camera drone without having to go through university to pick up an electrical engineering degree. If you would like to exhibit that creative streak in you, then you can do so by printing out your own drone shells using your 3D printer.
Once done, mount your shell to the FlexBot’s circuit board – and yes, there is no need for any kind of soldering, which should be good news for folks like me who have less than steady hands. Once done, turn on the motor using the smartphone app, and go ahead to fly this drone.
