The Deadpool movie took everyone by surprise because let’s face it, it was unlike other Marvel movies we’ve seen in the past, but like we said, it surprised everyone as it went on to become the highest grossing R-rated movie ever. So much so that Deadpool 2 has already been greenlit, but the question is who will be making the second movie?
As we have seen in the past, sometimes sequels are made by different creative teams which sometimes results in making the franchise worse. However the good news is that if you loved the original Deadpool movie, you’ll be pleased to learn that the original will be returning for the sequel, thus ensuring that the formula that made the first movie a hit will be remaining in place.
This was confirmed by Fox’s co-chairman Stacey Snider at CinemaCon where it was revealed that Ryan Reynolds will be returning as the titular character (which we guess was pretty obvious), and it will also see Tim Miller directing the movie again. The original scriptwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will be returning to handle Deadpool 2’s script duties as well.
At the moment it is probably too early to tell what Deadpool 2 will be about. The after-credits scene suggested that we could see characters like Cable introduced in the movie, but for all we know it could just be Reynolds trolling us in Deadpool costume. Either way we are pretty excited about it and can’t wait to check it out.
