The good news is that the rumors are true as Warner Bros. has confirmed that a standalone movie will be happening. This was revealed during the Warner Bros. panel at CinemaCon that was held in Las Vegas. The company’s CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed the rumors by saying, “We’re working with Ben Affleck on a standalone Batman movie.”
The comment was preceded by Tsujihara revealing that there are at least 10 DC Comics movies in the works that are pegged for a release over the next five years. Presumably this includes the new Justice League movie, Aquaman, and The Flash, just to name a few. So far the Batman V Superman movie has gotten mixed reviews.
Some praised it and loved it, while others hated it, with the folks at Rotten Tomatoes giving it a score of 28%. However financially it has done really well for itself, pulling in closed to $800 million worldwide with a budget of $250 million. It is expected that the movie could possibly make as much as $900 million.
