Earlier we reported that Audi took the wraps off a Connected Mobility Concept Car which came with an electric longboard hidden in its rear bumper, providing the driver with a clean and potentially more fun alternative mode of transportation. However at the end of the day, it is still a concept vehicle.
So if you are after something more concrete that you can actually purchase in the future, the carmaker has also taken the wraps off its latest 2017 Audi TT RS model at the Beijing Motor Show earlier today. The latest model packs more horsepower under its hood at 400 hp, marking an increase of 60 hp over its predecessor.
It comes with 354 pound-feet of torque and will be able to propel the vehicle forward to 62mph in as little as 3.7 seconds, which is obviously a blazing fast speed. The 2017 Audi TT RS will also come with bucket seats, a 12.3-inch Virtual cockpit display, Audi’s Connect infotainment system, and it will also come with inductive smartphone charging.
It also sports a new front end with large air intakes, oval tailpipes, and OLED tail lights, just to name a few of its features. Unfortunately pricing for the US and availability remains unclear, but it is expected to make its way to the US sometime next year, while other countries such as Europe can look forward to its release in the fall where it is priced starting at €66,400.
