droid turbo 2

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 first received the much-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update last month but soon after the release, the update was suspended without any good reason. Users didn’t really know what had happened to the update and when it would be rolling out once again. Well, they should keep an eye out for the update notification today because it has been confirmed that Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Droid Turbo 2 is now in “full deployment.”

The confirmation comes from David Schuster, head of software project management at Motorola. He confirms that Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is now in full deployment and that users will soon get an over-the-air update notification on their handsets in the very near future.

It appears that whatever issue that popped up after this update was released for the first time last month has finally been addressed. Users can now rest assured that they’ll finally get Marshmallow on their device very soon. It may not go live for everybody at the same time since major software updates are often phased, which means they go live in different regions at different times, so some wait might be involved.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings several new features to the device, including but not limited to the Doze mode, better notifications and app permissions, Google Now on Tap, user interface tweaks, security improvements and much more.
