This is according to an email that Microsoft has sent out to their partners, in which VentureBeat managed to get a look at it. According to the email, it seems that Microsoft is targeting a release of Windows 10 Mobile to devices later this month. The rollout is also expected to take place after the regular monthly service updates to both the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, two of a handful of devices that are actually powered by Windows 10 Mobile by default.
Unfortunately it is unclear as to when exactly this will take place, but the report claims that it will happen this month, so that’s worth looking forward to we suppose. According to the report, it was suggested that Microsoft had initially planned to release the update in December, but obviously that did not come to pass. Microsoft had then also internally targeted February but safe to say that did not happen, so let’s hope March will see the update released.
In the meantime, there are some Lumia devices that will apparently receive the update this week, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see if those rumors pan out.
