Let us have a show of hands here – how many of you out there actually depend a whole lot on Waze when it comes to getting around, including to the destination where you are headed toward? Well, if you are more or less one who is unable to live without Waze each time you drive, then you might be pleased as punch to know that a new feature in Waze will ensure that you remain within the stipulated speed limits at all times.
Basically, Waze will now be able to provide you with a warning each time that you speed – never mind the fact that you must have missed out on the speed limit sign, or said sign has been vandalized and done away with. Of course, there needs to be some testing done with this feature before it is made widely available to the masses, so do expect to see this feature launched in a mere 16 countries, where majority of them happen to be located in mainland Europe and Latin America (Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad, Tobago and Uruguay if you would like to get specific)..
As for everyone else whose country was not listen, “soon” is the operative keyword here. In the meantime, drive safe! [Press Release]
