If you happen to be rocking to a Samsung Galaxy Note5 from Verizon Wireless, then this bit of news is definitely for you. It looks like owners of the handset from Verizon should ready themselves to pick up the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow carrier update, which would mean all of the latest Marshmallow features such as the battery-saving Doze mode will be part of the deal, and Verizon does not want to miss out on the party as well as you can read about right after the jump.
In this particular update, Verizon will include its fair share of twists such as enabling Wi-Fi Calling and YouTube Live Broadcast, letting you stream what is happening around you on your very own channel, now how about that? The notification bar area has also been updated, as it picks up a white theme that is accompanied by light blue accents, making it easier on the eyes compared to what it was previously – but do bear in mind that this does not mean it is still not an eyesore.
Well, your interaction with the device should also be faster and more responsive courtesy of a revamped TouchWiz that runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You can read more about what Verizon has done with the carrier update over here.
