Twitter Puts A Stop To TweetDeck For Windows

Twitter has introduced a change which will make life easier for those who tend to switch between its desktop application TweetDeck, as well as its website. How so, you ask? Well, users will no longer need to log in to TweetDeck in a separate manner. In other words, should users happen to have the Twitter website open and have logged in prior, they can give the Tweetdeck log-in process a miss. Apart from that, Twitter will also bid adieu to its TweetDeck for Windows application.

Mac users, fret not – TweetDeck will still continue to receive support on that platform for the moment, as the app remains to be found on the Mac App Store. Windows users would find things to be otherwise though, as they will be shown in the direction of the web version of TweetDeck. Apart from that, Twitter did also remind Windows users on making the TweetDeck web app more accessible from their Windows PC simply by pinning the app onto the taskbar.

The reason behind dropping Tweetdeck for Windows? So that the company is able to “better focus on enhancing your TweetDeck experience,” but one cannot help but wonder whether it was because the Windows app lacked the kind of popularity among users that made it worth supporting in the long run.
