This was confirmed in a report by Reuters who spoke to TAG Heuer’s parent company, LVMH. According to LVMH’s Jean-Claude Biver, “Next year, we’ll have a real collection, a new version with six to eight models.” Biver also admits that the company was a bit too cautious with its initial smartwatch, producing only a limited number of units which surprisingly enough sold out pretty quickly despite its somewhat hefty price tag.
That being said, TAG Heuer won’t be the only company from LVMH to launch their own smartwatch. Yesterday we reported that Hublot, another company part of the LVMH group, would also be releasing its own smartwatch. When exactly remains to be seen, and what kind of specs and features is also anyone’s guess, but if you’re a fan of Swiss watches and brands like TAG Heuer and Hublot, 2017 might be the year to keep an eye on them.
