Are you a heavy coffee drinker, or perhaps a casual one who loves to hang out at Starbucks no matter where you go simply because you love the consistency of the drinks regardless of which outlet in the many countries in which you have visited? Well, if you have answered in the affirmative, then you would surely have seen the Starbucks app on iOS and Android platforms function as a mobile payment service before Stateside.
Windows Phone owners, however, have more or less been left out of the equation for all this time. The main reason behind it? It is because there has been no Starbucks app for Windows Phone – not at least until now.
A tweet from Seattle Times reporter Janet Tu (in which you can see below) claimed that Starbucks has announced just such an app at its annual stockholder’s meeting, where the launch of the Windows Phone app is set to kick off in due time, which will also accompany the rest of the Starbucks apps on Windows Phone that will see action in the likes of Russia and Mexico. As to how the official Starbucks app will affect the third-party Windows Phone app known as Buckstar Stateside, that remains to be seen.
