Star Wars Battlefront players can look forward to some new content today that’s being provided for free to all players. DICE had promised that it would soon release some free content for the game so it’s following through on that promise today. The free content includes a new map and a new co-op mission that’s available to all players at no additional charge.
DICE has actually laid down plans to release new content for Star Wars Battlefront every month, players will definitely be anxious to find out what new content DICE has in store for them in the coming months.
The developer confirmed that today’s patch is being released on all platforms. It didn’t provide a full changelog but does mention that a new map and a new co-op mission in included in this latest patch.
A Rebel Depot on Tatooine has been added as a new Survival Mission with this patch and the Survivors of Endor map has been added to Walker Assault, Supremacy and Turning Point.
Many players are surely looking forward to the first paid expansion of Star Wars Battlefront, it’s called Outer Rim, and it’s supposed to be released later this month. DICE has yet to provide a confirmed release date for Outer Rim.
