It has been a few months since Google released Android 6.0 Marshmallow and OEMs are just now gradually starting to release the update for their compatible handsets. It’s common for users to have to wait a few months for major Android updates to arrive so this is nothing new. Sprint customers will be happy to find out that the carrier has released Marshmallow for the Galaxy Note 5 today.
The update bumps the Galaxy Note 5 on Sprint to Marshmallow. All of the features that are included in the latest version of Android come with this update as well as the most recent Android security patch, which is just as important now as new features or improvements.
Sprint isn’t the first carrier to roll out Marshmallow for the Galaxy Note 5 in the United States. Verizon came through with the update earlier this month and so did AT&T, it’s about time actually that Sprint came out with it.
The update is going to go out in phases so even though Sprint has rolled it out today, it may take up to a few days for it to go live across all regions, users will need to be patient as the roll out proceeds as per schedule.
