Mobile carriers offer all kinds of services and promotions to set themselves apart from the competition, whether or not customers like those offerings is a completely different question. Sprint has cooked up a way for people who don’t want to pay $99 per year for an Amazon Prime subscription. It has teamed up with Amazon to allow them to subscribe to the service for $10.99 per month.
Starting today, Sprint customers can purchase a subscription to Amazon Prime for a $10.99 add-on to their monthly bill. All existing and new customers can take advantage of this new offer.
Amazon Prime is a subscription service that costs $99 per year. Amazon doesn’t provide a monthly plan for this service which not only includes free two-day shipping on millions of eligible items, but also access to music and TV streaming as well as cloud storage.
Sprint customers can get all of that if they pay $10.99 per month and continue to do so on a month-to-month basis to retain access to all of the features that Amazon Prime offers. This will end them costing the $99 per annum service $132 so the only benefit that customers are getting here is that they don’t have to pay $99 upfront for access to Amazon Prime.
