When it was announced a few days back that the PlayStation VR from Sony would cost $399 a pop, it certainly set about some reactions from the industry. For instance, Oculus VR founder thought that the asking price was ‘totally fair’, and Sony also claimed that they are not losing money over the PlayStation VR by selling it at that price point. Well, it seems that the PlayStation VR headset bundle will cost $500 with pre-orders set to kick off this 22nd of March.
When the $399 price was announced earlier on, the number of purchases for the PlayStation camera went through the roof on Amazon – by up to 3000%, while Move controllers saw a 1000% increase in orders. It seems that those were necessary purchases for folks who are interested in the PlayStation VR, since both the Move controller and Camera were essential items before the PlayStation VR headset can be used to its maximum ability.
The bundle for the PlayStation VR has been set at $500 today, where it will arrive with the Sony Camera and Move controllers, in addition to the VR Worlds collection of mini games to help you get started right out of the box. Are you going to get them separately, or would you prefer to have them arrive in a bundle?
