If you happen to be a Sony Xperia Z5 owner, then chances are you would have been pleased as punch to hear that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the handset has been released. However, it looks like not all is well with that particular version of the update, as Sony’s online support page did document horror stories from those who have taken the plunge, only to have their handsets “broken”.
We are not referring to literal breaking up of the device in this matter, but rather, after installation of he new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, there was a sign that appears on the display, informing users that the Google Play Store has stopped. In addition, owners of the handset are unable to open up the app.
Sony has put forward a suggestion that should your Xperia Z5 be affected by this issue after performing an upgrade to Android 6.0, then perhaps a factory reset is due. It has solved the issue for several people, but others still complain of the same after a factory rest is done. Perhaps one might want to explore the option of synchronizing the Xperia Z5 to the desktop PC before booting up PC Companion. From there, one can perform a reinstallation of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, where you can then open up the Google Play Store.
