Well, well, what do we have here? It looks like the Xperia Z5 Compact from Sony has not been forgotten after all, as it follows in the footsteps of the earlier update for the larger sized Xperia Z5, by picking up the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update this time around. The new software for the slightly more compact model of the Xperia Z5 seems to be hitting the handsets of those living in Europe at the moment, as folks living in Finland as well as in the UK have reportedly received it.
One thing is for sure – if there are no major bugs attached to this Android 6.0 Marshmallow update over the coming week, you can be sure that more and more territories would be picking up the update in due time. For folks who are in the UK, the entire download weighs in at 1.1GB, and upon successful installation, it would bump up the version number to 32.1.A.1.163.
As usual, do expect the standard slew of goodies associated with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, ranging from Doze Mode to a new permissions system as well as Direct Share. Sony has also thrown in a new camera interface and an Xperia Messaging app that sports new stickers.
