Snapchat, a service that claims to have more than 8 billion video views in a single day, is back in the limelight as the popular app has expanded its partnership with Major League Baseball. In the latest campaign, fans will be able to get closer to the field through a special spring training event that will take place this coming 11th of March. During that day, Snapchat claims that its users will be able to enjoy “unprecedented access” to the professional baseball players who do their bit in contributing to an MLB live story.

This would also mark the very first time where MLB players will be allowed to use smartphones in dugouts in addition to bullpens, not to mention carrying a “SnapBat”. No, this SnapBat has nothing to do with the Knight of Gotham at all, but it is better described as a “bat selfie stick.”
Looks like Snapchat is clearly ramping up their services to the masses, having revealed a special birthday lens to its users some time last month. Well, it has also made the news for less than stellar reasons, including having one of its employees falling for a phishing scam.
