It looks like the folks over at Microsoft would want to update their collection of Lumia handsets to run on the Windows 10 Mobile platform some time next week, although the new firmware has not been seen just yet, without any official release date set, too. A Vodafone Italy representative was the one who came up with a list of the upcoming updates for these handsets.
Of course, we would advise everyone who read this to take it with a liberal dose of salt, since nothing official mentioned should always be taken at face value. As for the select Lumia handsets that are touted to receive the Windows 10 Mobile update in due course, they would be the Lumia 535, Lumia 635, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 930, and Lumia 1520. This update is tipped to arrive via OTA (Over The Air) between March 7 and March 13, which is not too long to wait. Once that happens, it is not too far off the mark to assume that a global rollout of the update would be in place soon, too.
The Vodafone Italy forum happens to be the main (and seemingly, only) source for this particular angle on the situation thus far, as Microsoft has not released any kind of official statement to confirm or deny such a rollout.
