This was announced at Baselworld in which according to Samsung, “The smartwatch is transformed into smart fashion with rose gold, over 100 black and white diamonds and a bracelet studded with de GRISOGONO’s signature galuchat. The diamond-set gold bezel turns freely around the dial, allowing consumers to access the Gear S2’s library of applications and features, including notifications, activity logs.”
This is a pretty luxurious-looking design and we have to admit that it looks good as well, not to mention expensive. However apart from the diamond-studded makeover, the Gear S2 will remain identical in terms of specs and functionality as its “regular” versions, so don’t expect anything different other than a visual makeover.
Unfortunately there is no word on pricing just yet, but like we said with its diamonds, we reckon it will probably cost a pretty penny. It is also said to be a limited edition design, so don’t expect mass market availability. It will be released later this summer where it will be available from both Samsung and de Grisogono.
