While Samsung is still fresh from rolling out their Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, here we are with word that the South Korean conglomerate has not forgotten about the tablet market just yet. In fact, there has been an unofficial Samsung SM-T280 device making its rounds in recent times, where it has been suspected to be the 7” model of the Galaxy Tab E. It looks like speculators were sorely mistaken, as this device would be sold under the moniker of the Galaxy Tab A.
It is not as though there has been no Galaxy Tab A in the past, which means that this could jolly well be a successor to the model that was released one year back. A Polish online retailer has apparently listed the SM-T280 as ready for pre-order, where it will be known as the Galaxy Tab A. It will come with a price tag of PLN 599, and at prevailing exchange rates, we are looking at a device which is somewhere in the region of $150 or €138.
Expect this Poland-bound Galaxy Tab A to be available from March 8 onward, which is one week from now. Hardware specifications revealed include a 7” 1,280×800 touchscreen display, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a 5MP shooter at the back, a 2MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 4,000 mAh battery with Android 5.1 Lollipop in tow.
