So, you are happily rocking to your Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, being pretty smug with yourself that the entire ownership experience has been an amazing one to say the least. Well, it seems that not everyone shares the same sentiment as you, as seen in a ruckus brought up by some owners of either device at the XDA Developers forum.
Apparently, there has been several Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge owners who are grappling with a rather thorny issue which will let the flagship device act as though the Recent Apps/Multi-Window key has been pressed, never mind the fact that no one has touched it nor even gone near it. According to one XDA member, it looks as though the capacitive key has shorted out, which is why it keeps on registering as a key press, even though there is no finger anywhere close to it.
Others also complain that the false key press issue surfaces a while after the handset has been unlocked. So far, one Galaxy S7 owner facing such an issue had already informed Samsung, and the South Korean conglomerate did issue a 60MB update which will hopefully solve the issue, but if that does not work, then a factory reset was recommended. Which would be bummer, as one will have to go through the hassle of setting everything else up again from scratch after that.
