Sony has taken to the official PlayStation blog to reveal the PlayStation Plus free games for April 2016. Not only does the subscription service enable online play but it also provides a handful of titles for free every month to subscribers. April’s lineup for PS Plus members includes two titles for PlayStation 4, two each for PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita.
Dead Star is free for PlayStation 4 in April. It’s a team-based shooter with RPG influence as well as elements of strategy. This results in a 20-player online experience that’s easy to get into and yet provides great depth. Dead Star has already been well received at shows like PAX South and PlayStation Experience.
Next up for PlayStation 4 is Zombi, a first-person survival horror experience set in London. With its fast-paced gameplay and the challenge of permadeath the game has become a cult hit and now it’s free for PlayStation 4 next month.
PlayStation 3 owners get Savage Moon and I Am Alive as part of PS Plus free games while PlayStation Vita owners get A Virus Named Tom and Shutshimi. All titles will be free throughout the month of April.
In case you were wondering, Microsoft has already confirmed the Xbox Games with Gold lineup for April 2016.
