Oppo R9 And R9 Plus Set To Launch Outside Of China

Yesterday, we brought you word on how the Oppo R9 as well as the larger sized Oppo R9 Plus did pretty well upon launch in its home market in China, and here we are with word that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is currently working things out to release the device outside of China, now how about that? It looks like media invites for the device has been sent out for a phone launch event over in India that is tipped to happen this coming April 5.

Although the phone launch event’s media invite does not mention just which particular smartphone will be revealed or announced, it does not take too many brain cells to figure it out that both the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus would be the “superstars” there, as they boast of 16MP front facing cameras that have long been a major marketing point for the company that focuses a whole lot on cameras in handsets right from the get go.

In terms of pricing outside of China, that also remains to be determined, as we do know that the Oppo R9 will cost approximately $430 after conversion in China, while those who opt for the R9 Plus will have to fork out a bit more than that, crossing the half a grand mark at $510 a pop.
