It seems that there is a spanking new rumor going around concerning the upcoming Nintendo NX, and this time around it would involve the alleged controller of the Nintendo NX. This image that you see above hails from Reddit user Idriss2Dev, who claims that it is indeed the Nintendo NX’s official controller, although we would like to take what we see with a liberal pinch of salt.
It does look to arrive with a LCD (or OLED) display, although there does not seem to be any kind of ergonomic grips. Whispers of a front-facing camera, a connector on the top for charging purposes and a couple of alleged speakers in the front of to accompany the on-screen buttons add to the intrigue, and you can be sure that this is far from being the traditional and conventional game controller in which we have come to know and love.
The Nintendo NX is one particular console that has racked up its fair share of rumors before, including a portable version being slated for a release this year, while the Nintendo NX itself has been touted to make a July 2016 debut. While it can be accepted that the Nintendo NX will be less powerful than the PS4 as has been the trend with Nintendo consoles to date, hearing speculation of it supporting VR technology is definitely a welcome one.
Whatever it is, the Nintendo NX does look set to be well on its way, so we should keep our eyes peeled on any further whispers on the grapevine until all is officially revealed by the folks over at Nintendo.
