We should point out that the MSI Vortex was announced earlier this year at CES 2016 in January, but it is only now available for purchase and going out to customers. As you can see in the photo above, the computer certainly sports a very unique design as far as gaming rigs are concerned, and to a certain extent we can’t help but draw comparisons to the Mac Pro by Apple.
In terms of specs, the computer will be configurable and users can select up to Intel’s latest 6th-gen Core i7 processor. They can also opt to go with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 GPU, up to 32GB of RAM, dual 128TB SSDs and a 1TB HDD, and it will also sport a unique cooling system with a rotating column airflow. There is also Nahimic Sound Technology, USB Type-C reversible plug, and more.
Unfortunately the MSI Vortex won’t come cheap. The model with 16GB of RAM will cost $2,199 and will sport dual GeForce GTX 960 GPUs, while the 32GB RAM model with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980s will go for $3,999.
