Minecraft has definitely seen its fair number of fans over the years, and this hugely popular game has also made its way to a fair number of platforms as well. This time around, it looks like Microsoft has taken the lead at GDC to announce that there will be a version of Minecraft that can be enjoyed over Samsung’s Gear VR headset.
This is definitely an interesting move, as it helps to shift virtual reality gaming to the spotlight all the more in recent years. At least you will soon have the opportunity to enjoy yet another dimension of Minecraft, that is, in virtual reality. So far, we have no idea on the price of the title, or the date as to when one will be able to download the title, and neither has details on gameplay in the virtual reality world been revealed.
Whispers abound, however (as do expectations, I would suppose), that the quality will match that of Minecraft on the Oculus Rift version. Where do you think will be the next level in terms of gaming and its hardware? Will virtual reality really catch on in a big way, or will it remain a relatively niche market in the years to come? Only time can judge the outcome.
