A new report claims that Microsoft is going to launch several Windows 10-powered devices early next year and that’s said to be the reason why Microsoft has decided to delay the second big feature update for Windows 10 to 2017 as well. None of his has actually been confirmed by Microsoft so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt for now. After all, it won’t be too surprising to see the company release new hardware next year, it’s going to be long due anyway.

It was recently reported that Microsoft had decided to delay the Redstone 2 update for Windows 10 from late 2016 to early 2017. No real reason was provided in that report for this delay.

This latest report claims that it’s not push-back from Microsoft’s enterprise customers that has resulted in a possible delay for the second big feature update for Windows 10, apparently it’s the next wave of Windows 10-powered hardware from the company, which is why it has decided to push the Redstone 2 release back.

The new hardware that the company might unveil early next year could include new tablets, perhaps a successor to its first laptop, and maybe even the much rumored Surface Phone. We’ll have to wait and see how this works out, Microsoft is tight-lipped on the matter for now.
